Legislators want to fund the fight against senior isolation. We don't manage facilities. We build communities, and communities connect people.

Loneliness isn’t a personal failing; it’s a public health emergency.
Two new Senate bills introduced in June would establish a national office dedicated to social connection policy and direct $63 million annually in grants toward combating isolation, specifically among older adults and people with disabilities.
The legislation follows a 2023 Surgeon General’s advisory declaring loneliness an epidemic—one that hits seniors especially hard.
Here’s what the research already shows: senior living works.
A 2022 American Seniors Housing Association study found that senior living communities reduced social isolation during COVID-19 by offering residents greater access to social, physical, and intellectual wellness than their counterparts living alone.
At Aquinas Senior Living, connection isn’t a program we offer. It’s the environment we build, with empathetic caregivers, meaningful activities, and a community of neighbors. Connection is fostered daily; it is part of our DNA.
More than a real estate investment, this is an opportunity to own a piece of something built around human connection, monthly income, and driven by long-term demand.
